Questions About Sacramento Kings Moving To Seattle

Linda asks…

Will one of these teams move to Seattle?

1. New Orleans Hornets
2.Milwaukee Bucks
3. Charlotte Bobcats
4. Sacramento Kings

admin answers:

No. I say bring the thunder back to Seattle. Seattle Supersonics is one of the known franchise back in the Shawn Kemp-Gary Payton-Ray Allen days. Thunder? It sounds lame.

James asks…

If the Sonics end up in Oklahoma, how will the NBA realign the divisions?

Personally, I hope they stay. But if they should move, there will need to be some shuffling as I see it.

Oklahoma would fit best in the Southwest division, which could move Memphis to the Central and the Bucks could take up Seattle's vacancy in the Northwest.

New look:

Atlantic
Boston Celtics
New Jersey Nets
New York Knicks
Philadelphia 76ers
Toronto Raptors

Central
Chicago Bulls
Cleveland Cavaliers
Detroit Pistons
Indiana Pacers
Memphis Grizzlies

Southeast
Atlanta Hawks
Charlotte Bobcats
Miami Heat
Orlando Magic
Washington Wizards

Northwest
Denver Nuggets
Milwaukee Bucks
Minnesota Timberwolves
Portland Trail Blazers
Utah Jazz

Pacific
Golden State Warriors
Los Angeles Clippers
Los Angeles Lakers
Phoenix Suns
Sacramento Kings

Southwest
Dallas Mavericks
Houston Rockets
New Orleans Hornets
San Antonio Spurs
Seattle SuperSonics
I kept the Seattle name after moving them to the Southwest division simply because I have no idea what their new name will be. Its just a hypothetical realignment.

admin answers:

I think they'll just keep OK City in the Northwest, even though they're technically in the Southwest.

Robert asks…

Phoenix Suns' window of opportunity to win a championship closing rapidly?

I came across this article regarding the Suns today and after the loss tonight against the Hawks I think I have to agree with that the Suns won't win a ring this year with their style of play

Don't they remind you a lot like the Portland Blazers of the 90s and the Sacramento Kings of the 2000s that can just out score anyone anywhere anytime but just can't win big games and can't play good defense and just can't seem to get out of the Western Conference finals or playoffs

http://community.foxsports.com/blogs/J-DIZZLE/2007/11/05/The_LAKERS_are_rising_and_the_SUNS_are_setting_why_LA_will_have_their_number_this_year

I feel terrible for the entire state of Arizona right now because Suns fans can slowly feel in their hearts what is coming. I'm sure they're already saying, "Uh-oh." Hey, at least you guys still have the SUN DEVILS.

The way Phoenix looked in their first three games lets me know this...

1) Nothing has changed for the better. The SMURFS' lack of size will absolutely KILL them this year (they have been outrebounded in all three games by sorry Seattle, the Lakers, and the undermanned Cleveland Cavs who were missing one of their top rebounders in Varejao)

2) Amare Stoudemire's lingering knee problems will spell doom for the Suns if they persist throughout the year. If Bynum, Ronny Turiaf, and Kwame Brown can rough him up and limit him to 7 points and 1 rebound, imagine what the rest of the West can do to this overhyped new version of Antonio McDyess. Phoenix should have traded him for KG but there is a reason why the Boston Celtics have all the history and Phoenix doesn't - the upper management in Boston has more moxie to take risks than Phoenix's shot-callers do.

3) Mike D'Antoni is not as good as everyone thinks he is. Phil Jackson is already in his head, and the simple fact he makes a big deal about that silly timeout for which Phil had a very legit reason for calling, lets me know he has his own insecurities about his own team. Take the loss like a man D'Antoni and quit crying like Adelman and C-Webb were doing when the Lakers kept shoving it against the Kings' you-know-what back in the day. You haven't won squat, and I'm sure you haven't earned that respect from Jackson the way he admires and reveres Jerry Sloan, Gregg Popovich, and Pat Riley.

4) If Steve Nash ends up having to carry the load offensively, then expect the Suns to lose in the first round because come May Nash's back will be all but done, and Amare's legs will be worn out, and the rest of the Suns players will have zero confidence once they realize they can't hang with the bigger teams (Houston, Utah, Lakers, Dallas, Denver, New Orleans) who can play a half-court game and run-n-gun when the situation calls for it. And we already know that D'Antoni play his starters 40 minutes a game and never uses his bench (he's already done so the first three games) so the Suns may be in for a long season. And what if Grant Hill ends up getting hurt? Now what?

5) The signing of Hill, although beneficial for them, was the wrong move. It will limit the productivity, shots, and minutes of guys like Raja Bell and Leandro Barbosa, two very key elements in their past success. And Hill's below average long-range shooting does not make him a great fit for this system either.

6) The Suns' poor upper management decision makers should have realized that in the Western Conference, you need tough big men who can hold the paint in order to contend. Why do you think Kurt Thomas skipped town? Because he knew that Phoenix is not as good as everyone thinks they are and he didn't want to shorten his career by playing an up-tempo no-defense style the rest of his life. And Thomas knew better, considering he played for the big, bad, and tough New York Knicks in his heyday and knowing what it takes to contend, Thomas made a very intelligent business move and went to a young team who could value from his services. Phoenix should have gone after C-Webb, Jamaal Magloire, or even PJ Brown to get stronger inside but they didn't, and that's why they'll never make it to the FINALS.

7) The Suns are one-dimensional. It's way too obvious and with most of the teams employing an up-tempo style, it will be even harder for the Suns to win close games because not only do they lack beef up front, they also WASTE POSSESSIONS with their style of play jacking up shots left and right with no post game. Like I've been saying for years, they are predictable and will continue to be as long as they have Nash and Stoudemire.

admin answers:

Losing to the Lakers was bad, losing to the Hawks was worse!!! Suns always seem to have an excuse for every bad thing that happens to them.

When they lost to the Spurs in last season's 2nd round, they point to Horry doing the bodycheck to provoke players to leave the bench. Why blame Horry? Diaw and Amare left the bench cause they were too immature to stick their butts on the bench. They know the rules, come on. Besides, if you look at the replay of the "body shot", it was pretty damn clear that Nash flopped big time. The impact wasn't that strong yet Nash "dramatized" it as if he was hit by a truck.

Losing to Lakers they say, was due to the fact that the Suns arrived at dawn. They had more than 10 hours to rest!!! They're professional players for crying out loud, they know how these things work. Plus, they had their complete lineup when they met the Lakers.

Losing to the Hawks was funny. Even with Amare gone, they could still beat the Hawks. What about Diaw's great performance when Amare was gone? Was that fake too? Besides, Hawks don't have a big man down low for them to worry about too much.

In short, Suns won't win any championships in the Steve Nash era of their franchise. If they make the Playoffs, Spurs will beat them again for good luck.

Helen asks…

NBA: Epic Pick & Trade Fails!?!?

How would you rate these epic fails:

• 1983: Sacramento/Kansas City Kings choose Ennis Whatley 13th Overall Pick in the 1st Round. Whatley 6' 3'' 177 lb Point Guard. Chose not to take Clyde Drexler, who went 14th Overall selected by Portland Trail Blazers

• 1984: Portland Trail Blazers choose Sam Bowie 2nd Overall Pick of 1st Round. Bowie, 7' 1'' 235 lb Center. Chose not take Michael Jordan, who went 3rd Overall selected by Chicago.

• 1987: Seattle Sonics choose Scottie Pippen 5th Overall Pick of 1st Round. Sent this pick immediately to Chicago Bulls.

• 1996: Orlando Magic trade away Shaq, to L.A., who some say was not yet in his prime after playing from '92 till '95/'96.

• 1996: Charlotte Hornets send away Kobe Bryant, picked 13th Overall in the 1st Round by the Hornets. Pick sent to L.A..

As for RATING: just your opinion on it. Maybe you think it was a good move/pick/trade?
My two cents = Blazers skipping out on Michael Jordan is an Epic Fail of EPIC proportions. They already had Clyde Drexler from 1983's draft. Just IMAGINE MJ and Clyde on the same team! Wowza!

Questions About Falcons Cheerleaders

Carol asks…

I'm trying out for the atlanta falcons cheerleaders. Does anyone know where I can go to find a 2 piece leotard?

admin answers:

At your closest mall

Charles asks…

Do the cheerleaders for the Airforce Falcons all attend the Airforce academy ?

admin answers:

Yes. They are all Air Force Cadets.

Joseph asks…

Breaking news on Fox: former ATL Falcons cheerleader arrested in chop shop operation. Why is this newsworthy?

Fox News thought this was important enough just now to interrupt regular programming.

Is this news?

You see, the biggest problem with Fox News is not conservative bias. The WSJ is conservative, and this liberal loves it.

The real problem with Fox is the way it panders to a 5th grade concept of what is newsworthy.

admin answers:

Actually, Fox News is covering Obama and Medvedev now and have not interrupted coverage. You must be talking about your local Fox network affiliate. Glad to help.

Ruth asks…

What NFL teems gots the most hotest cheerleaders?

My homie lil spider say it the Falcons but I likes thems cheerleaders on the Bucs. What is you think>>>>

admin answers:

The Fins are the best. The Bucs, Jags, patriots, Texans, eagles all have some really hot cheerleaders. The cowboys are very nice also, but they live off of past hype and reputation more then anything else. Sorry Dallas but many other teams are better and have surpassed your cowboys when it comes to the cheerleaders.

George asks…

Which NFL team has the finest cheerleaders?

I'm a falcons fan but their cheerleaders are just ok by NFL standards.

I may be biased because I work with them but Buffalo....and here's photographic proof...including a pic of FHM Supermodel Amanda P

Questions About New York Giants Record

James asks…

What is going to be the New York Giants Record at the end of the season?

Playoffs? Win Division? Home Field Advantage?

admin answers:

11-5, winning the division but not getting first week bye, with home field for the first game.

Losing in the second round.

Michael asks…

What do you predict the New York Giants record to be at the end of the season?

I predict we'll finish out 9-7...man we gotta really wake up..idk what is up with us.

admin answers:

7-9 or 8-8. The only games I see them winning are against Washington and Carolina and MAYBE Dallas.

Thomas asks…

What will the New York Giants record be at season's end?

I'm really not sure cause I thought last year they were going to be great and they underachieved. Two years ago I thought they were going to be bad and they made the playoff's. This season everyone is saying expect a down year. So I would guess that would mean 6-10 or worse. Don't know.

admin answers:

6-10

Eli's garbage and they'll struggle to adapt without Tiki. Jacobs could have a good year, but the all around threat Barber offered will be what hurts the O the most.

And their D isn't that great either.

Donna asks…

What do you think the New York Giants record will be at the end of the season?

admin answers:

13-3...i see them losing the NFC championship game to the Eagles....not an Eagles fan but i think once they get on a roll the are going to be tough to beat.

Mark asks…

what is the new york giants record against the nfc east since they have been in the nfc east?

admin answers:

They have a record of 146-152-3 against the NFC East in the regular season since the NFC East was formed in 1970. This includes the games against St. Louis/Arizona from 1970-2001, as well as games each season against Dallas, Philadelphia, and Washington.

Betty asks…

Who was your favorite Sacramento Kings player of all time?

Mine: Chris Webber he brought us consistent playoff apperances and was the best player of the Sacramento Kings franchise...( I'm not talking about cincanati , Rochestor , or Kansas City) .... one of the best hands in the game and one of the best big man to handle the ball great rebounder and scorer.....

other kings players you might have liked:

Peja

jason Williams aka White chocolate

Vlade Divac

Mitch Richmond

Brian Grant

Tyus Edney

Spudd Webb

Mike Bibby

mateen Cleeves

Tyreke Evans

Demarcus Cousins

admin answers:

Mine had to be Chris Webber, then Mike Bibby. Chris Webber has that nice 18 footer, and Mike Bibby took over as the leader in the clutch, I remember that one play off series where he basically took over. Bibby is ice cold ya heard.

Sandra asks…

Who was the greatest Sacramento Kings Player of all times? (1985-Present)?

Chris Webber
While w/ the Kings -

23.4 PPG
10.5 RPG
4.8 APG

5x NBA All-Star (1997, 2000-2003)
1x All-NBA First Team Selection (2001)
3x All-NBA Second Team Selection (1999, 2002, 2003)
1x All-NBA Third Team Selection (2000)
1994 NBA Rookie of the Year
1993 All-American Team (stripped of this honor in 2002)
1991 National High School Player of the Year

I could make an argument for C-Webb being the BEST overall NBA Player between the years of 2000-2005

admin answers:

1 Chris Webber
2 Mitch Richmond
3 Vlade Divac. He didn't have the gaudy numbers, but he was the leader of those great Kings teams, and is probably the most popular former King in Sacramento.

They are also the only 3 Sacramento Kings to have their numbers retired.

fantasy football. give me your opinions...?

on these team names i've come up with. I tried to use the titles of songs by bands like aerosmith and other bands of that era, and incorperate the names of NFL players into them. My three best are:

1. Call me the Brees
(Call me the Breeze, Lynyrd Skynyrd - Drew Brees)

2. Good Times Bad Tynes
[(Good Times Bad Times, Led Zepplin - Lawrence Tynes (i'm a pats fan so i'm not really a fan of the NYG's kicker)]

3. Dude looks like Tom Brady
(Dude looks like a lady, Aerosmith - Tom Brady)

any feedback you have would be apreciated. which do you like best? do you have any other suggestions you've come up with? all is apreciated.

Questions About Peyton Manning Injury

Sandra asks…

Are you kinda tired of this Peyton Manning injury talk?

Every day you hear about Mannings neck injury or his possiblity of not playing for the colts. Do you ever get tired of it?

admin answers:

If you are tired then go watch Lifetime or E!. If you are hearing this on the radio then go listen to one of the country music stations instead of sports

Betty asks…

How much would an injury to Peyton Manning or Drew Brees affect the NFL?

I don't wish this kind of thing to happen. However, these two guys are constantly talked about at the moment and are two biggest faces of the NFL. If one was to fall down injured, how would affect the NFL as a whole? Thoughts and opinions?

admin answers:

As a Colts fan I don't even want to think about Peyton Manning getting injured. It would be devastating and a big blow to our team. I actually think we could still be a 9-7 or 10-6 team with Jim Sorgi at QB though because just like the Patriots with Matt Cassel last year we have the peices in place to be sucessful. Sorgi played well last year when he started in the last game when we rested our starters.

But for the NFL it'd be worse to see Peyton Manning get injured than Tom Brady. Alot of people find Peyton Manning the most exciting QB if not player in the NFL to watch run the offense. It'd just feel wierd to have the Colts and the NFL without Peyton Manning.
____________________________________

What Jeff B touched on was good too. The competitve nature would suffer but the NFL is bigger than any single player. That's what makes the NFL so successful. It's not like the NBA suffering if Lebron James or Kobe Bryant gets injured.

The NFL is successful no matter who's injured. The competitive would suffer a little because people would'nt want to see backup QB's start like its the preseason but there are plenty of star QBs in the NFL today

As for the Saints they'd fall apart and be an under .500 team if Drew Brees went down. The quality of the QB position in the NFC would fall alot

Donald asks…

How will the Colts perform this year with the injury due to Peyton Manning's injury?

And you notice something about my question? I didn't mention my favorite teams for once!

admin answers:

That's one for the department of redundancy department.

Thomas asks…

Is the knee that required surgery Peyton Manning's first significant injury?

I can't recall Manning as having been sidelined for any other injury requiring surgery, even at Tennessee.

It is his first injury, and how will it affect his season?

Marvin Harrison had a similar injury last season...

admin answers:

Well, if it plays out like Harrison's injury.....

He will shoot some guy at his car wash.

Joseph asks…

Do you think the injury to Rodney Harrison played a huge role in Peyton Manning winning the AFC Championship?

I'm sorry! I meant to say the Indianapolis Colts winning the AFC Championship. Peyton did not do anything, but get his @ss picked off by Asante Samuel. That was fun watching!

Had it not been for the injury to stong safety Rodney Harrison, Peyton Manning would have bitched and whined like the baby that his is. Just to let Colt fans know, Rodney Harrison picked off Peyton Manning in the Patriots 20-3 AFC Chapionship win in 2005, leaving Peyton to shed tears in the rain. In 2004, Ty Law and Rodney Harrison did the same s**t to Manning in the AFC Chapionship--Law with three interceptions and Harrison with one.

I want Peyton Manning to realize that his championship was a total fluke. The Indianapolis Colts are the same team to injure Rodney Harrison, making it the easy way of not having to compete against the New England Patriots.
How would Peyton Manning like it if the Patriots injured Marvin Harrison?

admin answers:

Well, of course anytime rodney harrison goes down it pays a huge toll. I mean, you cant really say in any game that if he was there they still would have lost. 1 player can do a lot for a football team. He was the emotional leader for them, so they definitely would have had a much better chance of winning that game.

What will the New Orleans Saints record be this year ?

I say they go 9-7

admin answers:

Depends alot on weather Darren Sharper returns or not.

I'm predicting 10-6 and finishing 2nd in the division to the Atlanta Falcons

no NFC South team has ever repeated as division champion. I think they go 10-6 and lose in the Wild Card Round.

Without Darren Sharper the Saints would fall a long way off I believe since he was their Defensive MVP and leader of the D last year

What's the new orleans saints best undefeated record?

6-0...This is the best by far..If I heard right the new orleans saints haven't been in this spot since 1991

Did some searching and found this.....In 1991,The New Orleans Saints had the best start in team history at 7-0, which would also keep New Orleans atop the NFC.They lost five of their last nine games to finish 11-5, then lost their first playoff game.
