Hi,

I'm not a Saints fan...I'm from Minnesota so I'm still a little bummed about the Saints beating "my team", but I was cheering for New Orleans today. So, I'll start with a big CONGRATULATIONS!!! to New Orleans and all of Louisiana for a great win!!

My question is a simple one, and I guess curiosity may be getting the best of me, but I was wondering if anyone knows what the scar is on the right cheek of Drew Brees.

It is the scar left from the removal of a birth mark he had there. The birth mark was a little furry thing that looked like he had a little caterpillar on his face. All during his high school and college days, he said it did not bother him, so he left it. This was partly because the technology to remove it would leave a large permanent scar.
With new technology (which of course he can afford) he decided to have it removed - it will now only leave a minimal scar, which may disappear over time.

He had a birthmark removed. Hello people it was a brown birthmark that WAS removed.

It WAS a birthmark. He tried to have it removed, and apparently it didn't go so well. But yea, it's been there forever.

How did Drew Brees get the scar he has on the right side of his face?

He used to have a large mole or birthmark on it when he played with Purdue and San Diego. He must have had it removed and it left that scar. I don't know this for fact, but I do know it used to be a large, oval shaped mole (or birthmark) and now its a big scar.

will drew brees eclipse Dan Marinos passing yardage record this sunday?

He only needs another 402 yards to eclipse the record, but they are playing the panthers who have a strong pass defense, although the saints are out of the playoffs, and may just try to get this record to take something out of this season. I am a die hard saints fan and I hope Sean Payton would try to let drew brees get the record instead of actually trying to win the game because I think that is something that will make the saints fans a lot happier than a winning record

What are his chances? Unitas seems to be unreachable up there.

I think Brees will pass Unitas but it would not make his streak superior just because of the number. Brees passes about 35 times a game. Unitas... What, a little more than half that? And he still was able to consistently throw touchdowns.

Should Drew Brees try to break the record, even if it means losing?

The Saints are 8-7 and not heading to the playoffs. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get 402 yards and break the greatest record known to the NFL. So say their are up 24-20 with 4 minutes to play, and Brees has 350 yards so far. Should he still be throwing or let Duece run out the clock?

Brees is a great team player, but his team will stand behind him for that record. Brees needs to step up and go for it. Pass that ball.

I say let him the throw it even if the Saints are up 35!! It will add to the Lions sad history

He would need 7 to tie, 8 to break record, i dont think so, be he is capable...Tom Brady had 6 touchdown passes vs Miami in 2007

i think he will fall short (mostly because of his team not him) but i do hope he does he deserves it.

I don't want to sound mean, but Drew Brees got where he was in yardage by passing it 635 times. When Manning had his 49 tds, he only threw the ball 497 times with almost having 4600 yards. Give Manning 138 more passes, he would have shattered the record. Drew Brees is good, but he's a passing maniac. I think once they decide to pass less, they will be more balanced.
